Corporate Achievements
Results at enterprise scale
These case studies are from my current role at Merz Asia Pacific and the brief MSD stint before it. The common thread: maximum impact with minimal resources, no IT budget required, systems that still run years later.

Ongoing maintenance effort
Senior management across APAC spent 5–8 minutes per RMA complaint on repetitive data entry - extracting email content into Excel trackers, SAP, and country-specific databases. No one questioned it. I watched it happen for a few weeks, then built an n8n workflow to handle it. Email arrives, data is parsed and classified automatically, pushed to the right systems. 8–12 manual touchpoints became 2–3. The system has run for 2+ years with ~15 minutes of monthly maintenance.

Mobile SAP Verification - Zero IT Budget
30 sec
Verification time (was 5 min)
Field engineers needed to verify device serial numbers in the field. Data lived in SAP, which required a desktop, login, training, and patience. No IT budget for a mobile app. Solution: automated weekly SAP data extraction to Excel, added a VLOOKUP-powered search interface optimized for phone browsers. Large buttons, simple input, instant results. Rolled out to the entire APAC team. Nobody needed training. The phone they already had became the enterprise data terminal.
Tools: SAP data export, Excel (advanced formulas), mobile browser optimization

Framework, infinite variations
Eight APAC affiliates (Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, India, and others) each had their own RMA process. Some were barely documented. None were compatible. The challenge: regulatory requirements differed by country, so a rigid standard would break compliance. Solution: mapped each country's process, identified the 80% that was universal, built a core framework with documented local variation zones. Rolled out country by country, trained local champions, built feedback loops. No country lost its local requirements. Everyone gained a shared language.

Unplanned downtime incidents (MSD)
Range of technical projects across the medical device operations lifecycle: engineered custom USB hardware modifications that reduced device footprint by 70% while meeting clinical requirements. Built analytical dashboards monitoring device performance and service metrics across 8+ APAC markets. Developed medical device file transfer solutions streamlining clinical data workflows. Created documentation frameworks eliminating duplicate data entry. All work maintained regulatory compliance throughout.

The pattern across every case study
No IT projects. No budget approvals. No expensive software. Every solution here was built with existing tools, tested on a small group first, and deployed when the value was obvious. That's not a constraint - it's a design principle. "Using less resource and achieve big time."
